Foxdale Village, a life plan community guided by Quaker values, is a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in State College, PA . Foxdale was founded in 1985 by members of the State College Friends Meeting and is founded on the values of treating all with dignity and respect. Foxdale is regarded as a premier healthcare facility both locally and nationally, we have been voted "Best Retirement Community in State College, PA" now 9 years consecutively. Consequentially we are well-known to be a premier Retirement Community. Foxdale Village includes 57 apartments and 148 cottages and offers a range of health services with 46 beds in skilled nursing for short and long-term care, two memory care neighborhoods, and 55 beds in personal care, all with private accommodations. We currently have an opportunity for a new Human Resources Recruiter to join our team.

Human Resources Recruiter Job Summary:

Responsible for the effective full-cycle recruitment initiatives and associated processes and procedures. Coordinate with hiring managers to understand and identify hiring needs; create talent acquisition plans; and provide interviewing supports to them. Coordinates new employee orientation as well as facilitates specific orientation sessions. Assists human resources team with execution of employee relations projects related to onboarding, retention, engagement, turnover and other projects or activities as assigned. Assist the Human Resources (HR) department with organization and maintenance of employee records and clerical assistance as needed.

This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) working primarily Monday-Friday, with flexibility to work an occasional evening or weekend in support of organizational goals.

Essential Job Functions Include:

  • Full-cycle recruiting through hiring and commencement of on-boarding
  • Maintain and update Foxdale Village's online career site including applicant tracking processes.
  • Monitor vacancies, job postings and placement of advertisements; receive applications, screen candidate qualifications, distribute timely to hiring managers and related.
  • Professionally conduct phone screens, identify qualified candidates, and assist with scheduling of interviews.
  • Participate in talent acquisition events and cultivate relationships with high schools, post-secondary schools, vocational schools and community organizations.
  • Compliance with tracking and record keeping procedures.
  • Regularly coordinate with managers to identify hiring needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications and skills; create talent acquisition plan for positions, interview guides, and strategic talent sources.
  • As assigned, participate in the development and/or execution of employee relations projects such as those related to retention, onboarding, engagement, turnover, and related.
  • Assist with personnel records management, auditing, preparation for annual survey inspections, and related as needed.
  • Assist with general work of the HR department as assigned.

Requirements:

HR Recruiter Minimum Qualifications Include:

  • Education equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Equivalent of two years of office or similar experience, with one year of Human Resources related experience highly preferred.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; effective telephone and interpersonal skills.
  • High proficiency with word processing, email, spreadsheets and database systems. Ability to learn web-based tools, information management systems, and related for recruitment purposes.
