  • Ensure all workers and subcontractors comply with safety policies and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Lead incident investigations and report any near misses, injuries, or safety breaches.

Communication & Reporting

  • Maintain regular communication with head office, PM, and client representatives.
  • Submit daily site reports, including progress updates, photos, and safety documentation.
  • Flag schedule risks or change conditions immediately to project management.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience on geotechnical, mining, remote construction, rope access, and/or heavy civil projects.
  • Proven track record managing crews on remote, rotational projects.
  • Deep understanding of field construction workflows, geohazard mitigation, and remote logistics.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and enforce standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and situational awareness in dynamic job site conditions.
  • Safety-first mindset with working knowledge of provincial/federal safety regulations.
  • Competent Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams) for field reporting.
  • Authorized to work in Canada.

Nice to Have

  • Trade certification, Red Seal, or formal technical training.
  • Experience with rope access systems or drilling equipment.
  • First Aid, WHMIS, and other safety certifications.
